z)Rice appearance was measured with a Grain inspector (Cervitec 1625, Foss, Sweden) and protein was analyzed using a grain analyzer (Infratec 1241, Foss, Sweden), Glossiness of cooked rice was Toyo taste meter (MA-90A, Toyo, Japan) in accordance with the operation manual. Amylose content was measured using the method by Perez and Juliano (1978).

nsmeans no significant difference between two cultivars, and *, ** mean significant difference at p<0.05 and 0.01, respectively.

Blast nursery test: nitrogen fertilizer level was 240 kg/ha.Major disease were investigated in the experimental field under normal fertilizer conditions during local adaptability test.
