A new rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) F1 hybrid ‘Haean’ was crossed between ‘Mokpo-CGMS’, male sterile line and ‘8516-B-5-6-1-2’, restore line for the adaptation of paddy land culture with early maturing, disease resistant and lodging tolerance in 2008. Yield trials were conducted from 2009 to 2010 in Muan, and regional adaptation trials were examined from 2011 to 2013 in four regions. ‘Haean’ has dark green, cleft and parted leaf, light yellowish flower, and black seed color. The maturation date of ‘Haean’ is 4th June, 4 days earlier than ‘Sunmang’. In the regional adaptation trials, average yield of ‘Haean’ was 272 kg/10a, which was 6% higher than ‘Sunmang’. Seed oil content of ‘Haean’ was 44.2%. In fatty acid composition, oleic acid content is 69.8%, which is 2.5% higher than ‘Sunmang’. Total glucosinolates content was 1.84 mg/g. ‘Haean’ has characteristics of disease resistant and lodging tolerance, this variety can be cultured at paddy lands in southwestern area including Jeonnam, Jeonbuk and Kyongnam provinces and Cheju island of Korea.

‘Jungmo 7002’ is a intermediate parent of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) with flowering uniformity and lodging tolerance for the scenery and oil production. ‘Jungmo 7002’ was developed from the cross between ‘RS10//Erra/Tower’ as female parent and ‘RS10’ as male parent in 1984. A promising line, ‘84013-B-6-3-3-6’, was selected and designated as the name of ‘Mokpo116’. It was prominent and had good result from regional adaptation yield trials (RYT) for three years from 2011 to 2013 and was released as the name of ‘Jungmo 7002’. ‘Jungmo 7002’ has middle parted and dark-green leaf, Brownish-green stem, yellowish flower and black seed coat. The flowering date of ‘Jungmo 7002’ was 16th April and ripening date was 9th June. The yield of ‘Jungmo 7002’ was 247 kg/10a, which was 19% higher than ‘Hanlayuchae’ in regional adaptation trials. This intermediate parent showed high resistance to lodging tolerance. The oil content of ‘Jungmo 7002’ was 44.3%. In fatty acid composition of ‘Jungmo 7002’ , oleic acid content is 70.8%, which is 3.3% higher than ‘Hanlayuchae’. And ‘Jungmo 7002’ has no erucic acid. ‘Jungmo 7002’ will be adaptable to southwestern area including Jeonllanam-do, Jeollabuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do and Jeju
island of Korea.

‘Jungmo 7001’ is a intermediate parent of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) with wide adaptable, early flowering and large flower for the scenery and production of edible oil. ‘Jungmo 7001’ was developed from the cross between ‘[(Mangun × Bronowski) × Erra] × Tower’ as female parent and ‘RS10’ as male parent in 1984. ‘Jungmo 7001’ has green and middle parted leaf, yellowish flower and black seed coat. The flowering and ripening period of ‘Jungmo 7001’ were 3 days earlier than check variety 'Hanlayuchae'. The average flower size of ‘Jungmo 7001’ was significantly greater than flowers of 'Hanlayuchae'. The average seed yield of ‘Jungmo 7001’ was higher compared with 'Hanlayuchae' in local adaptability test. Total oil content of ‘Jungmo 7001’ was 44.4%. In fatty acid composition, ‘Jungmo 7001’ has no erucic acid. However, oleic acid content is 69.1%, which is 1.7% higher than 'Hanlayuchae'. ‘Jungmo 7001’ will be adaptable to southwestern area including Jeonllanam-do, Jeollabuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do and Jeju island of Korea.
